Our 4 Best Wall Mounted Cable Machines Reviewed

1. Titan Fitness Wall Mounted Pulley Tower

Titan Fitness wall mounted cable machine with dual pulleys

Editor’s #1 Pick
[Free Shipping]

The Tall V3 Titan Fitness wall mounted pulley tower is by far one of my favorites when it comes to both price and features. The Tall version is 84.5 but Titan also offers a short version at 80.5.

Smooth & Quiet Operation
The smooth and quiet operation of this cable machine matches that of any other commercial pulley station at your local gym.

Durable & Rust Free
It is built with powder-coated steel for long-lasting durability and rust protection and designed to easily install on your wall or even attach to an existing Titan rack.

Both the dual cable pulley system and 18 height positions are super easy to adjust with the quick release pin. So with the included single-hand grips, you are ready to work out any muscle group from top to bottom

Highest Weight Limit
This cable machine uses 7” long weight posts (9” & 12” optional) that fit your standard 1” plates (optional Olympic sleeves adaptors sold separately) and has a maximum weight capacity of 350 lbs.

Key observations: I have found a customer who after a year is still very pleased with his purchase. Assembly and mounting this cable machine to a wall takes about 1.5 hours and is designed to easily fit over baseboards. I am also impressed by the whopping 350 lb weight capacity of this machine and its quiet operation.

Key Features & Specs

  • 84.5” tall or 80.5” short version
  • 2 single-hand straps included
  • Heavy-duty powder-coated steel frame
  • Adjustment Positions: 18
  • 2 Weight Posts: 7” long (9” & 12” optional)
  • Loads 1” standard weights (Olympic Sleeve optional)
  • Designed to easily install over baseboard
  • Vertical wall mounts, but will also attach to other Titan Power Racks
  • Weight Capacity: 350 lbs.
  • Free 1-year Warranty at Titan Fitness
  • Dimensions: 27”W x 26.6”L x 84.5”H
  • Product Weight: 75 lbs.

2. Archon Adjustable Dual Pulley Station with Accessories

Archon adjustable dual pulley station with accessories kit II

The Archon Fitness, which is a little taller than the Titan and the Valor, measures in at 90.5”. It’s steel construction will hold up to 250 pounds of weight and will hold both 1” standard and 2” Olympic sized plates (weights sold separately).

After assembly and mounting, you can get straight to work with all of the following cable attachments (all included):

  • wide grip bar
  • Close grip parallel
  • Ankle strap
  • 2 handles
  • rope

This pulley station comes with rubber foot caps for stability and to prevent scratching floors, but can also be removed for mounting to the floor for extra stability. Hardware for both wood and cement mounting are included

Key observations: The noise level of the Archon is much higher than the Titan and is very distracting if you are sensitive to noise. Furthermore, it does not install easily over baseboards (wood backing is necessary for even mounting).

Key Features

  • 90.5” tall
  • Includes Accessory Kit
  • Steel frame
  • Adjustment Vertical Positions: 17
  • 2 Weight Posts: holds both 1” & 2” plates (sleeve adaptor included)
  • Wall mounts & floor mounts
  • Weight Capacity: 250 lbs.
  • Easy vertical mounting to a single stud
  • Dimensions: ”19.73W x 29.875”L x ”90.5H

3. Vanswe Wall Mount Cable Station

Vanswe cable tower

The Vanswe dual pulley station uses very little space with only a 24” by 25” footprint, so it can easily fit into your workout room or garage. The height for this station is 82.6” tall and has 18 adjustment positions and dual swivel pulleys to allow users a wide range of both bilateral and unilateral exercises.

The double bar track design allows the weights to glide smoothly along the tracks and will hold up to 250 pounds on two 1” posts.

This unit comes with weight collars and 2 strap handles (at the time of this review, it also included the 2” adapter sleeves).

Key observations: The Vanswe wall mounted pulley station is not single stud mountable; therefore, wood backing would be required for mounting. Also, customers have complained about the parts not being labeled, making it difficult to assemble.

Key Features

  • 82.6” tall
  • Steel frame
  • Extra strap handles included
  • Adjustment Vertical Positions: 18
  • 2 Weight Posts: holds 1” plates (Olympic sleeve may be included)
  • Wall mount
  • Weight Capacity: 250 lbs.
  • Dimensions: ”24W x 25”L x ”82.6H

4. Valor Fitness BD-62 Wall Mount Cable Station with Adjustable Dual Pulley System

Valor Fitness BD-62 dual pulley cable station

The Valor adjustable dual pulley station is only 80” tall and great for mounting to walls with lower ceilings.

This machine is a bit lighter with only a 200 lb maximum weight capacity and has 16 adjustable vertical positions.

What I do appreciate and wish the other models would also include is the “double to single” pulley adapter. Essentially what this does is connect the 2 cable pulleys together, creating a 1;1 weight ratio, for doing heavy exercises with single attachment bars or ropes.

Key observations: The Valor only has a weight capacity of 200 pounds; which may be enough for some but definitely something to be aware of. I do like the double to single pulley adapter that is included and to the most part takes care of the lower weight capacity (this will connect both pulleys together for performing super heavy exercises such as presses or rows).

Key Features

  • 80” tall
  • Steel frame
  • Adjustment Vertical Positions: 16
  • 2 single strap handled included
  • Includes “Double to Single” pulley adaptor
  • 2 Weight Posts: holds both 1” plates (Olympic sleeve sold separately)
  • Wall mount
  • Weight Capacity: 200 lbs.
  • Dimensions: ”24.5W x 25”L x ”80H

  2. Ankle & Glute Kickback Straps
  3. Ab Crunch Strap

Bars

  1. 32” EZ Curl Bar
  2. 24” Lat Pulldown Bar with Side Handles
  3. 20” Rotating Straight Bar
  4. V Shape Triceps Press Down Bar
  5. Double D Lat Triangle Bar

What to Consider Before Buying a New Wall Mounted Pulley Station

Height
It is a good idea to check the distance between the floor and ceiling of the room you will be using for this machine. You do not want a machine that will not fit in your room.

Also, taller individuals may require a taller pulley station to comfortably perform exercises.

Weight Post Sizes
Be aware that machines with weight posts do not come with weights. So you can either use existing weights you may already own, or you will need to buy them separately.

Most weight posts come with 1” standard size posts. So if you already own 2” Olympic size weight plates, there are 2” adapter sleeves that are either included with the cable machine or can be purchased separately.

Maximum Weight Capacity
The maximum weight capacity on the wall-mounted cable machines in this review are between 200 lbs and 350 pounds. That said, make sure to pick a machine that is adequate for your fitness level and fitness goals.

Noise Level
For some, noise levels may not play a deciding factor. But for some louder noise levels can be a distraction or even become a problem for others nearby. Pay attention to user reviews on Amazon, or even my key observations in this review.

What is a Dual Pulley Cable Machine & How Does it Work?

Compared to your single pulley cable stations typically found at most gyms, the double pulley station combines 2 pulleys on one tower. This provides you with the added benefit of performing bilateral exercises more effectively such as standing flyes for chest exercises, or laterals for shoulders.

However, this also means that when using only one pulley cable on a dual pulley cable machine you also only use half the weight on the machine. For example, say you have 100 pounds on the machine, then you would only get 50 pounds for each cable. This is called a 2:1 ration.

Short and simple: each cable pulley has a 2:1 ratio, while combining both cable pulleys results in a 1:1 ratio.

1:1 and 2:1 Cable Weight Ratio Explained

That said, what if your machine’s maximum weight capacity is 350 pounds but you want to perform an exercise that only requires only 1 attachment for 200 pounds. Unfortunately, if you load your machine with 200 lbs and then use 1 pulley, it would only amount to 100 lbs for that one cable.

That said, there is an easy fix.

How to Create a Single Anchor Point for More Weight

Since weights can be expensive and max weight capacities can be limiting, there is a fix to this dilemma. By simply connecting both cable pulleys together you can create a 1:1 ratio and then attach it to a single attachment bar or rope. This gives you the full weight capacity from both cables on one attachment.

That said, here are some simple steps to achieve this setup:

  1. Simply connect both carabiners from each cable to one attachment.
  2. If that does not work because the included carabiners are too small, then simply replace them with larger ones.
  3. If the 2 carabiners will not fit your attachment simultaneously, then use a third carabiner to connect the two carabiners and then connect your single attachment bar or rope.

Cable Machine Wall Mounting Tips

First and foremost, always read the inclosed user manual and assembly guides provided by the manufacturer. It is important that you read all instructions as well as maintenance tips to keep your cable machine operating quietly and smoothly for a long lasting and positive experience.

Tools you may need: drill, stud finder, level, marker, measuring tape, screw driver, wrench

Never mount on drywall: Never directly mount your cable machine to drywall. Always use a wood backing for extra support and a sturdy mount.

Lubricate for a smooth & quiet operation: When assembling your machine, it is a good idea to lubricate all bearings, the center of the pulley wheels, and metal sliders with a silicone lubricant or spray. This will add to the life of your machine, but also keep it running smoothly and quietly when working out.

Delay tightening: It is a good idea not to tighten all the pulleys until after you have correctly fed all the cables through all the pulleys.

Final Words

Wall mounted cable machines are the perfect addition to anyone’s home gym setup for adding literally hundreds of additional resistance exercises to your workout.

These dual pulley cable stations provide both bilateral and unilateral exercise variations a single pulley station can not offer. Additionally, these wall mounted cable towers are great space saving workout machines that have a lot to offer at such a small price.

If you are still undecided about which machine is the best wall mount cable station for you, then personally I would suggest the Titan Pulley Station. Whichever choice you make, always make sure to pay close attention to all features before buying.

Thank you for visiting, and good luck with your new wall mounted dual pulley station.

In this review, you will find 5 treadmills with the highest incline settings I could find on the market today. Unlike so many other reviews, this one holds true to its word and guarantees only the highest incline treadmills which include 15%, 30%, and three 40% gradients.

High incline treadmills have far more benefits than just your ordinary treadmills that have very low inclines.

Without having to run or jog, you can burn just as many calories at a much slower pace and without the high impact by simply increasing the incline on these treadmills.

Unlike your traditional treadmills, the high incline trainers are more effective at burning more calories, and also engaging more muscle activation in your calves, your legs, and yes even your glutes.

That said, you will not only get a very effective cardio workout but also strengthen and build your muscles at the same time.

Our Steepest Incline Treadmills at a Glance

Here is a quick glance at some of the highest incline treadmills I will be showing you in this review. Before considering your first purchase, make sure to look at not only the treadmill’s incline but also the speed.

The Many Benefits of High Incline Treadmills

As opposed to your traditional treadmills with slopes that top out at about 10%, the higher incline treadmills have so much more to offer with extra-steep maximum inclines of over 15% and even up to 40%.

The benefits of these higher incline treadmills are numerous. So let’s take a look at what raising the workout surface to a higher slope can do for you.

  • Increased heart rate without increasing the speed
  • More calories burned in less time
  • Burn 5X the calories just by walking
  • Greater muscle stimulation in calves, quads, and glutes
  • Increased core engagement
  • More resistance for greater muscle activation & added strength
  • Less impact on knees & ankles

This list may not seem very long to you, but the benefits are tremendous. The fact that you can activate more muscles and burn more calories in less time is a huge advantage over your traditional treadmill machines.

With that said, if you’re convinced that purchasing a new high incline treadmill is a no brainer and would like to learn more about what’s available, here are our top treadmills with the highest incline settings we could find. Compare the features for each and decide for yourself which is the best choice for you.

Treadmill Incline Conversion Chart & Calories Burned

The following table shows how many more calories you can burn by simply walking while increasing the incline level. I have taken two stats found online and averaged them for more accurate numbers.

The main point, however, is to show how much more you can burn on calories as you raise the slope levels by 10-degrees.

That said, the numbers show that you could burn almost 5 times the calories at a 40% incline than you would at 0%. Obviously your tempo would slow down at a higher incline. But with the added resistance from the incline, you would still burn far more calories regardless.

My Verdict

I have read both very positive but also some negative reviews on this machine. However, after reading through the included user manual, it became apparent that many of the user issues and problems were most likely a result of not reading and following the user guide instructions and important first time settings and adjustments.

Incline Treadmill vs Incline Trainer

I have been reading various articles in which the authors are comparing the two as if they were completely different cardio machines. Yes, there are differences that you should be aware of before you drop some coin for one of these.

That said, all-in-all they are still both treadmills but with slightly different functionality and construction, among other things.

Therefore, to make things easier and not stretch this article out any longer than need be, I have created a bullet list of differences for each machine.

Incline Treadmill

  • Usually a smaller motor (so less expensive)
  • Inclines up to 15%
  • Mostly higher speeds up to 12mph

Incline Trainer

  • Mostly more expensive due to the larger motor & extra components
  • Highest inclines up to 40%
  • Mostly lower speeds at higher inclines

What to Consider before Buying

Besides the obvious, paying attention to the warranty and buying from a reputable company, you should also pay close attention to the speed level.

In many cases, buyers are so focused on the treadmill incline levels that they forget to consider what the maximum speed is for the machine.

If you’re buying a high incline treadmill but still want the speeds of a traditional 0% to 10% incline for days when you prefer a brisk walk or a good jogging session, then speed is definitely a factor to recognize.

On the other hand if you are not the running type, then most so-called incline trainers will absolutely do the trick.

Sunny Health & Fitness 9700 is a treadmill that offers both functions and includes a workstation. It offers speeds of 7.5mph at up to a 10% incline, and 3.75mph up to a 40% incline.

What is an Elliptical Machine?

The elliptical machine is a full-body, low-impact alternative to walking or jogging with similar results. This indoor cardio machine is very easy on the joints, knees, ankles, and feet.

The smooth elliptical motion provides consistent low-impact strides for the lower body, while with most machines, the dual-motion arms provide an additional upper body workout.

With that said, you are not only getting a full-body workout but also an extremely effective cardio workout to strengthen your heart and help you quickly shed unwanted body fat.

What We Mean by Compact Elliptical Machines

Our compact elliptical machines are much smaller when assembled than your typical elliptical machine—thereby making them more portable and easy to store, but also more convenient to place in smaller rooms.

Even Though these ellipticals do not fold, their compact size makes them ideal candidates worthy of being added to our list.

What We Mean by Collapsible Elliptical Machines

Our collapsible elliptical machines have the same look and feel as your traditional ellipticals. However, compared to our compact ellipticals, the collapsible ellipticals are bigger and have all of your mid to high-end elliptical machines’ extra features.

The feature to collapse and fold the machine will quickly transform your full-size elliptical into a more compact version.

Is an Elliptical Better than a Treadmill?

Compared to the collapsible and compact elliptical machines, the treadmill, in most cases, will require more floor space and is not as portable. Unless, of course, you are using a collapsible treadmill.

As for functionality, the treadmill is designed to mimic the natural movements of walking or running. However, the elliptical machine is the lower impact workout option of the two and can provide an additional upper body workout.

With that said, the elliptical can be better for the elderly or if you have joint issues.

The Top Key Features We Looked For

To make our list, all of our collapsible and compact elliptical machines had to meet the following criteria:

  • First and foremost, collapsible and compact
  • Portable and easily storable
  • Transport wheels
  • Multiple magnetic resistance levels
  • Sturdy and solid construction
  • Digital monitor
  • Pulse sensors
  • Hold at least 200 lbs.

My Recommendation for Best Compact Elliptical Trainer

I have chosen the Schwinn 411 as my #1 pick for the best space-saving elliptical trainer. Though it is not the smallest in our list, it still only measures a mere 53.8” L 24” W 62.5” H – making it ideal to fit in most apartments or small rooms in your home.

Furthermore, I was impressed by all the features this trainer has that you would typically only find in larger models. Some of these features would be the impressive 18” stride and the whopping 16 levels of variable magnetic resistance, 23 integrated programs, sensor grips, Bluetooth Heart Rate Tracking, 5.5” LCD & control module, and Explore the World App.

If you missed the video demo for this model, I would encourage you to watch it.

My Recommendation for Best Collapsible Elliptical Machine

BUY AT HORIZON FITNESS

As for the best collapsible elliptical machine, I have chosen the Horizon Evolve 3. This elliptical trainer is by far the easiest and lightest full-size trainer to fold. The hydraulics makes folding up this machine effortless for anyone. By slightly lifting the back end, the “FeatherLight” hydraulic system kicks in and does all the lifting for you.

The Horizon Evolve 3 also has the largest stride. The 20″ stride gives you a more natural feel when compared to other machines.

In addition to this most impressive feature, you can’t overlook all the other extras Evolve 3 has to offer. Here are a few:

  • Easily folds up with patented “FeatherLight” hydraulics
  • 20 electronically adjusted resistance levels
  • 5.5” Monitor
  • Speaker system
  • 32 preset workouts & ViaFit Connected Technology

  • 18lb flywheel

Features to Consider Before Buying a Compact Elliptical Machine

Size & Portability

Choosing the right size elliptical to fit your home or apartment is probably the first concern when shopping for an elliptical. We have compared two space-saving designs in this review.

Your first choice would be the smaller to mid-size elliptical, which is already compact in design and can easily fit into most rooms without sacrificing much space. These machines are lightweight and easy to move but do not offer all the extra features and benefits of your larger collapsible models yet are still effective cardio machines and get the job done.

Our collapsible ellipticals are bigger and heavier machines yet offer all the traditional elliptical machine benefits. However, these do require more floor space when in use but do fold together nicely to save space when not in use.

Weight Capacity

Though maximum user weight capacity is not necessarily an issue for most, it is still an important feature to consider. With that said, always check the weight capacity and make sure you do not exceed the manufacturer’s limitation.

Stride Length

If you are a taller individual or would like a larger, more natural stride, then I would suggest looking for a stride of around 18” or more. If you are shorter or enjoy a workout without shorter bursts, then the 10” to 15” strides would be the right choice.

Resistance Types & Levels

There are various types of resistance mechanisms to choose from when it comes to cardio machines, and with ellipticals, it is no different. But rather than bore you with a long list and definitions for each, I would suggest magnetic resistance over all others.

Magnet resistance has less moving parts than your belts, chains, ropes, or fans and will, therefore, require less maintenance and fewer repairs. That is why all of our ellipticals in this review have magnet resistance.

Incline

Having an adjustable incline on a treadmill is a great feature, but is it essential on an elliptical machine? Short answer, probably not.

Nonetheless, you will find that two of our collapsible elliptical machines offer an incline up to 10 degrees if that is what you prefer.

Display Console & Controls

Monitor display and size may be a significant factor when shopping for an elliptical machine and the controls and their functions.

You can pretty much count on all lower-end designs to at least include your basic functions and display stats such as heart rate, speed, time, and distance.

Other models may offer larger full-color touch displays that control additional functions such as preinstalled workout programs, tension level adjustments, incline adjustments, or other extras such as Bluetooth, speaker volume, or fans.

Today’s review and buyer’s guide will feature 12 of the best pulldown attachments you can use on cable machines at the gym or at home.

I have compared the most popular and most effective lat pulldown accessories and compiled a list of the top attachments based on quality, functionality, and user experience.

Cable machine accessories come in many different forms and variations, and each has its own unique benefits and functionality.

With that said, you will find a variety of attachments with features designed to target just about every muscle group possible. Some of these would include short and long bars, straight and curl bars, ropes, handles, straps, and more.

So without further ado, let’s take a look at what we’ve found.

Different Types of Cable Machine Accessories & Helpful Tips

I have decided to categorize the different types of cable attachments in this review to make navigating this site somewhat easier and to quickly locate any specific item you may be interested in.

You will also notice that I have added a few comments and suggestions that may help give you a better understanding of each product.

Bar Attachments

Cable bar attachments are by far the most popular and most used cable machine accessories at any gym. And whether you are looking for a bar to use at the gym or at home, there are plenty of bars to choose from.

I have included various types of bars from straight bars and curl bars to v-shaped and triangle bars. I always recommend bars with knurled or rubber grips. In my experience, the extra rubber padding provides for a far better grip when not wearing gloves, and the knurled grip when you are wearing gloves.

Rope Attachments

The rope is my second best last pulldown attachment and with good reason. Ropes are very flexible and versatile attachments and can be used for so many different muscle groups. Ropes give you the opportunity to position your hands in so many different ways, even while actively performing a set; something a bar can not do.

However, not all ropes are created equal. I have found the best ropes to be the longer ones. They give extra flexibility and range of motion. I would also suggest avoiding all ropes that are over-treated and glazed, as they can be quite slippery and hard to grip. And always chose the rubber ends over the tied ends for a better grip.

Handles & Foot Straps

I believe that the rubberized handles with straps and O-ring or D-ring connections are a far better option over the heavy and bulky metal handles. They are much more flexible, better to grip, just as durable as metal handles, and so much more convenient to transport.

And should you own resistance bands or decide to purchase some in the future, they are also light enough to use with them as well.

Complete Cable Attachment Sets

Sometimes you can get a better bargain by purchasing a complete set of cable attachments. This will usually include the most popular and most used bars, plus rope and handles.

Unfortunately, not all sets will include everything you’re looking for. So whatever is missing you can always buy separately.

So with that said I will let this be a surprise and let you take a look for yourself.

These ab crunch straps by Power Systems when attached to a cable machine are ideal for performing crunches from multiple angles and positions. If you’re looking for a good burn, these will do the trick.

What I especially like about these straps is the extra padding which makes these heavy-duty nylon straps super comfortable on your back and shoulders. And the handles are specifically designed to keep your hands close to the chest which helps your form but also makes performing crunches extremely effective and comfortable on your hands and arms.

I would highly recommend these ab crunch straps over your ordinary double handle straps any day.

These were obviously designed with functionality and comfort in mind.

  • Heavy nylon shoulder straps

Important Features to Look for in a Cable Machine Attachment

Here is a list of key features we thought were important and should be available for each of our cable attachments. Though not a necessity, each of these features provide added functionality, versatility, ease of use, and better handling. All of which can only help contribute to a better and more productive workout.

  • Knurled or rubber grip handles on bars
  • Revolving swivel shackle on bars for free unrestricted movement
  • Durable steel with rust-free polished chrome finish
  • Rubber stoppers on rope ends for a more secure grip

My Recommendations for Best Cable Attachments

I can tell you with certainty that all of the products in this review have been carefully chosen based on quality, functionality, and customer experience. But I have also been using a few of these products myself for many years and therefore would highly recommend them to anyone.

With that said, I can highly recommend any of the lat pulldown attachments with rubber grips by Power Systems. Our public gym has been using these for over 3 years, and the same bars have never been replaced and still look great.

Knurled or Rubber Grips?

If you’re undecided about whether you should buy a bar attachment with rubber grips or with knurled grips, then maybe I can help.

If you prefer working out with weight gloves, or you need a bar with a smaller grip to fit your hand size, then I would recommend the bar attachments with knurled grips.

However, if you typically do not wear gloves then I would definitely suggest the rubber grips. They will offer a more comfortable grip, and keep your hands from slipping if your hands get sweaty.

Steel or Aluminum?

Rather than write 4 to 5 lengthy paragraphs explaining why one might be better than the other, I have decided to list the differences with some pros and cons for each.

Steel

ProsConsRecommendations
* Durable
* Reliable
* Affordable
* Used in most gyms
* Heavy
* Less portable
* May rust in garage settings

Choose a bar with protective chrome finish to prevent rust.

Aluminum

ProsConsRecommendations
* Lightweight
* Durable
* Rust-free
* Portable; easy to transport

* May feel awkward
* Too bouncy on cable

I added an aluminum pulldown bar as it takes away less from your weight stack where total weight may already be limited on home gym machines.

If you are interested in aluminum cable attachment bars, Fitness Factory has a few more bars you can check out.

All in all, if you’re not lugging your cable attachment bars around from place to place, then I would recommend going with the chrome-finished steel bars.

On the other hand, aluminum bars are much lighter and easier to carry around. And if you only have 100 or 150 pounds on your home gym cable machine, the extra counterweight of the steel bars will take away from your weight stack.

Closing Remarks

We have listed 12 of the best lat pulldown attachments we could find to fit just about any cable machine at home or at the gym. I have chosen a variety of attachments and options for each, such as knurled grips, padded grips (both of which are non-slip), and steel as well as aluminum bars where available.

Cable machines are an excellent way to exercise just about any muscle group with the right attachments. So if you have a home gym or your local gym is missing a cable attachment you desperately need, then we’ve got you covered.

If you’re looking for a better and improved way of performing push-ups at home, we have found various types of equipment and accessories to help you do just that.

In this review, you will find some of the best push-up equipment and accessories we could find on the market today. You will find many different options to choose from starting with the standard push up bar to your more advanced push-up machines.

Push-ups are one of the best exercises you can do just about anywhere. They are very effective at targeting your chest muscles, but also great for your front delts and triceps.

There is no easier way to pump up your pecs and triceps than a good push-up workout. If however, you’d like to step up your game and add a new dimension to your push-up regime then adding an extra push-up accessory will definitely do the trick.

With that said, keep reading and find out what options are available to you and compare some of the best push-up equipment and accessories we could find on the market today.

Best Push-up Equipment at a Glance

  1. Perfect Fitness Stackable Push-Up Handles
  2. Juperbsky Heavy-duty Bars
  3. Perfect Push-Up Elite Rotating Handles
  4. Lifeline Power Push Up Plus Resistance Bands
  5. Push Up Machine with Rotating & Sliding Handles
  6. Power Press Push Up Board

What Types of Push-Up Accessories Are Available In This Review?

With all the various types of push-up accessories on the market today, it shouldn’t be hard to find exactly what you’re looking for.

Some of these accessories include the standard push-up bars and stands for a deep stretch, rotation push-up handles for flexibility, resistance bands to add more resistance to your workout, or even push-up machines that offer multiple features on one device.

Push-up Bar & Handle Accessories

Standard Push-Up Bars

These are great for beginners who are looking for an affordable pair of push-up handles. I always look for well-padded handles, and rubber floor protectors. These are very functional and durable handles, but checking the user weight capacity is still advisable.

Stackable Push-Up Bars

These are basically the same as your standard bars with the added benefit of folding or stacking the handles together for easy storage or travel.

Rotating Push-Up Handles

Adding rotation to these handles gives you the convenience of changing your hand position on the fly rather than pausing and re-positioning the handles. This additional functionality can provide a whole new level of workout intensity and exercise variations to your push-up routine.

Push Up Resistance Bands

Push-Up Resistance Bands

Adding more resistance to your push-ups is like increasing the weight on your bench press. The extra resistance generated by these bands will fire up more fast-twitch muscle fibers and result in more muscle growth and increased strength.

Push Up Machines & Boards

Push Up Machine with Sliding Handles

These machines allow the handles to glide in and outward to closely mimic performing flies on a bench. This motion adds more intensity to your push up by allowing you to force the handles together on the positive motion and spreading wide again on the negative.

Push Up Board

A push-up board takes the guesswork out of how to position your handles to target a specific muscle group. Buy using easy to read color-coded locations on the board, you can target the desired muscle group such as chest, shoulders, or triceps with certainty.

The Best Push-Up Equipment & Accessories to Workout at Home

The following is a list of my top 6 choices where you will find product features for various brands and types of push-up accessories available to buy online.

#1 Perfect Fitness Stackable Push-up Stands

Perfect Fitness Stackable Push-up Stands

Best compact push-up handles.

The two features that stood out the most with these handles were the wider grips which puts so much less pressure on your palms and the fact that they are stackable for easy storage.

If you’re a big guy or using extra weight, such as with a weighted vest, then using a wider grip can be very helpful at relieving pressure on your palms. Even for lighter individuals, when you’ve reached 50 or more push-ups you may start to experience some pain in your palms.

With that said, these handles are the ideal solution for this problem.

Overall, the experience is very positive, and for the price is an absolute bargain.

Even though no maximum weight capacity is given, buyers have successfully used over 300 pounds with these handles.

Key Features

  • Wider handles so it doesn’t hurt your palms
  • Stackable for easy storage
  • Non-slip rubber grips
  • Rubber base for gripping and protecting floors
  • Approx. 300-pound weight capacity
  • Lightweight yet durable
  • Material: hard resin plastic and soft rubber handles
  • Product Dimensions: 8 x 5 x 5 inches
  • Weight: 1 pound

Best Heavy-Duty Push-up Bars.

If you’re not into plastic and looking for a pair of heavy-duty steel push-up bars, these are the ticket.

The Juperbsky stands are by far the most durable in this review and will hold up to a maximum weight capacity of over 2200 lbs. They don’t get any stronger than this!

These bars are available in 2 sizes (5.5” & 8” in height). Making them ideal for not only deep push-ups but also great for dips, v-sits, handstands, and gymnastic training.

Key Features

  • Wide padded handles and non-slip base
  • Abrasion-resistant TPR handle covers
  • Added height for additional workout options (push-ups, dips, v-sits, headstand)

#3 Perfect Push-Up Elite Rotating Handles

best push up bar with rotating handles

Best push-up bars with rotating handles.

Unlike our other push-up accessories, the Perfect Push-Up Elite (also called the Perfect V2 Pushup) is designed to rotate during push-ups. With other push up handles, you would have to stop your exercise to re-position the handles. But not with these rotating handles.

These handles hold up to 400 lbs and come with ergonomic rubber grips that help to distribute weight evenly and help reduce the strain on your wrists and elbows.

The Push-Up Elite’s steel ball bearing system provides a smooth rotation and durable construction built to last.

# 5 Push Up Machine with Rotation & Sliding Handles

push-up equipment with the most features (rotates & glides)

Best push-up equipment with the most functionality.

The Push Up Machine is the only one of its kind that combines both push-up handles that rotate and that glide at a 0%, 5%, and 10% grades all in one machine.

Though not as compact as our other push-up equipment, it is packed with features you must see to appreciate. So rather than boring you with a long description, I suggest watching this short video demonstration instead.

YouTube Video

Key Features

  • Patented gliding at 0%, 5%, and 10% grades
  • Rotating handles
  • Max. weight capacity: 300 lbs
  • Product Dimensions: 40 x 10 x 12 inches

#6 Power Press Push Up Board

Power Press board

Our last push up accessory is the Power Press Push-Up Board. This is a combination of push-up handles and aboard that when used together provides you with a roadmap of various hand positions to target specific muscle groups.

In other words, this board will show you how to not only target your chest muscles, but also shows you the precise locations to lock in your push-up handles to target other muscle groups such as shoulders, triceps, or back.

Note: The only questionable claim I have about this product is that it can target your back muscles. Push up exercises, no matter what hand position, only activate push muscles (such as the chest, triceps, and shoulders). Your back muscles are “pull” muscles, and not “push” muscles.

With that said, if you were excited about a machine that can be used for push-ups but can also workout your back, I would highly suggest checking out the door pull-up bar/push-up bar by ProsourceFit.

YouTube Video

Key Features

  • Color-coded system identifies muscles worked
  • Non-slip, over-sized hand grips
  • 2-piece board; separates for easy storage
  • Workout Program
  • Dimensions: 36″ L x 16.5″ W x 2″ D
  • User Weight Capacity: 300 lbs

Top Benefits of Using Push-Up Accessories

Push-up accessories have many benefits regular push-ups do not offer. Probably one of the greatest benefits is the added range of motion they provide. The added elevation provides a deeper stretch which results in greater muscle activation and more blood flow to your chest, front delts, and triceps muscles.

As a result, you will see greater muscle development and strength in a shorter amount of time compared to just regular push-up exercises on the floor.

Additionally, push-up accessories can help take the stress off of joints and help alleviate wrist pain so you can perform more push-ups without the discomfort.

Here is a quick summary of all the benefits these handles have to offer:

  • Full range of motion
  • Deeper stretch & muscle activation
  • Reduces wrist strain & wrist pain
  • Takes stress off of joints
  • Cushioned grips offer less discomfort
  • Versatile (many positions, angles & width variations)
  • Extra functionality & features (such as slide & rotation)
  • Compact (easy storage & great for travel)
  • Use on yoga mats or exercise mats

Final Words

It was my mission to make a list of the best push-up accessories with as many different features and functionalities as possible to provide you plenty of options to compare and choose from.

With that said, it is now your turn to decide which push up equipment is best for you and your specific requirements.

Before we continue our review, let’s first take a closer look at what exactly a foldable air walker really is.

What is a Foldable Air Walker Exercise Machine?

What do we mean by foldable air walker? By foldable air walkers, we mean that the machine can be easily collapsed or folded together to conveniently transport from one location to the next or stored away when not in use.

What is an Air Walker Machine? An air walker also referred to as an air glider or air strider, is a cardio machine that incorporates upper body, core muscles, and legs all at the same time. However, unlike a treadmill or stepper machine, the walker machine uses gliding foot motions that have zero impact on your knees.

These air striders are typically light in weight and inexpensive compared to most other cardio machines such as the elliptical machines or treadmills.

Before moving on to our 6 best foldable air walkers, take a look at the following video to see one in action. If you are not familiar with the functionality of the machine, this will help.

  • Sturdy and solid construction
  • Foldable
  • Portable (preferably with transport wheels)
  • functionality
  • Good customer experience
  • Ratings and feedback

So without further ado, here are our top 6 foldable air walkers.

Our 6 Best Foldable Air Walker Exercise Machines

Here is my list of top air walker machines based on quality, foldability, portability, functionality, customer feedback, ratings, and ease of use among other things.

#1 Brenda Dygraf X Slimstrider 360

Brenda Dygraf X Slimstrider air walker

Best air walker exercise machine for quality & functionality.

The Slimstrider X by Brenda Dygraf is a very popular air walker and workout videos for this machine can be found all over YouTube.

My favorite feature on this air walker is the silent free-motion ball and joint bars that provide for 360-degree foot pedal action and countless exercise variations.

Brenda shows just how effective this machine can be for not only cardio but also at working out muscles in the upper and lower body as well as core muscles and even targeting specific muscle groups such as glutes.

Key Features

  • 4 function LCD Monitor
  • 360-degree foot motion pedals
  • Silent free-motion ball and joint design
  • Max. weight capacity 300 lbs
  • Foldable air walker for easy storage

#2 PROGEAR Dual Action 360 Air Strider

PROGEAR Dual Action 360 Air Strider

Editor’s Choice and best bang for your buck!

I had mentioned earlier how with some striders you can move your feet to the side in addition to just back and forth. Well this is one of them.

Actually, this air walker gives you a 180 degree range of motion on both sides so you can move your pedals in all directions. Something you won’t see on an elliptical machine. This in itself opens up a whole new range of exercise possibilities to workout your legs and glutes.

The LCD offers an easy to read panel that shows distance, time, speed, heart rate, and calories burned.

Here is a great video demonstrating the unique features the Progear air walker has to offer.

YouTube Video

Key Features

  • LCD monitor
  • Dual-action workout arm
  • Full-motion arm exerciser
  • 15” Non-slip foot pedals
  • 180-degree range of motion
  • 36” stride length
  • Adjustable rear floor stabilizer

#3 Sunny Health & Fitness SF-E902 Air Walker Trainer

Sunny Health & Fitness SF-E902 Air Walker Trainer

Best air walker on a budget.

The SF-E902 Foldable Air Walker is probably the most affordable machine in this review. Do note however that unlike most typical air gliders such as the Gazelle, this model is not designed for leaning forward or backward, nor does it have the 360-degree range of motion for the foot pedals.

Nonetheless, if these features are inconsequential, then the SF-E902 comes with other great features such as an LCD monitor to keep track of time, count, total distance and calories burned.

This model comes with an adjustable abdominal pad to ensure proper support and placement while exercising.

For the perfect zero impact cardio exercise routine, you will also find non-slip foot pedals with 30” stride length and full-motion arm exercisers.

This glider will hold up to 220 lbs, and will conveniently fold together for easy transport or storage when not in use.

Take a look at the following video and see for yourself what this foldable air walker can do for you.

YouTube Video

Key Features

  • Abdominal pad
  • Digital monitor
  • Full-motion arm exerciser
  • Non-slip foot pedals
  • Back & forth motion
  • 30” stride length
  • Max. weight capacity 220 lbs
  • Folded air walker dimensions: 15L x 19W x 61.5H

#4 Gazelle Supreme with Added Resistance

Gazelle Supreme with Added Resistance

Best air strider with added resistance.

Gazelle offers 3 models of the foldable air walkers, being the Gazelle Edge, Freestyle, and the Gazelle Supreme. If you’ve read any of my other posts, you know I  always choose resistance. Therefore, the Gazelle Supreme is my choice for the best foldable air walker among the Gazelle models.

The Supreme has 2 pistons that add resistance to your workout, but can also be removed if you prefer a lighter workout.

The foot motion on the Gazelle is back and forth, but has the added feature of tilting forwards or backwards. This action will add resistance to your workout and target certain muscles more than others.

For example, when leaning forward you will generate more muscle engagement in your shoulders, chest, triceps, and calves, and core muscles.

However, when tilting your body back you will activate more muscles in your back, biceps, and core muscles.

The Gazelle Supreme folds flat for easy storage and weighs about 57 pounds.

Key Features

  • Digital monitor
  • Piston Resistance
  • Back & forth motion
  • Tilts backward and forward
  • Max. weight capacity 300 lbs
  • Unfolded Dimensions: 44″ L x 31.5″ W x 55″ H
  • Folded Dimensions: 65″ L x 29.5″ W x 13″ H
  • 3 Workout DVD included

#5 Fitness Reality Cloud Walker X1 Foldable Air Walker

Fitness Reality Cloud Walker X1 Foldable Air Walker

Similar to the Slimstrider, the Fitness Reality Cloud Walker X1 also offers 180 degree leg motions. Additionally, it also offers dual action arms for full motion arm exercises and static grip.

This helps provide you with extra intensity for your cardio workouts, and upper body muscle stimulation when you need it.

This foldable air walker can be collapsed to half its size for storage, and comes with transport wheels to relocate when done

Check out the demonstration video below so you can appreciate the many features and functions this air glider has to offer.

  • Digital monitor with large number readouts

  • Max. weight capacity 225 lbs
  • Foldable to half the size
  • Folded air walker dimensions: 17L x 20W x 52H

#6 Santuca Foldable Air Walker Trainer

Santuca Foldable Air Walker Trainer

Best walker trainer with basic functionality for beginners.

The santuca foldable air walker offers your basic functions such as forward and backward foot gliding motion and full-motion arm exerciser at a very affordable price.

A great strider for beginners, this model also offers an LCD to keep track of your speed, distance, time, and calories burned.

Also comes with transport wheels and folds easily for storage under a bed or furniture.

Key Features

  • Full-motion arm exerciser
  • Non-slip foot pedals

Quick Safety Tips to Follow Before Using Your Air Walker

It is always a good idea to read all manuals and safety guidelines when purchasing a new air strider. Here are a few important tips to follow before using your air walker.

  • Closely follow all assembly instructions.
  • Make sure all parts have been securely attached and screws & bolts tightened.
  • Be aware of the maximum weight capacity for your strider machine.
  • Make sure your walker is level on a floor before using.
  • When stepping on or off the machine, use one foot at a time and make sure to hold on to the frame or static handlebars.
  • As a beginner, start slow and get the feel of the machine before increasing your intensity.
  • Never lean too far forward or backward on the machine

Following these safety tips and those included with your air walker will help prevent injury and insure you have a fun and effective workout on your new machine.

Air Walker vs Elliptical Exercise Machine

I tend to see some of these air gliders being advertised as elliptical machines. Personally, I do not see the air walker exercise machine as being the same as an elliptical machine. With that said, let me explain some of the obvious differences below.

Stepping vs Gliding

The first and most obvious difference is the stepping vs gliding motion of the foot pedals. An air walker machine does not require any stepping action, as in pushing your feet down while slightly bending the knees.

This is typical for an elliptical machine, but with the air walker, the pedals do not push down but rather glide evenly forwards and backward. Though you can bend at the knees if you desire, it is not required for each and every foot motion.

So basically, the movement path on the air glider is an arch, while the elliptical machine is an ellipse (similar to the natural movement of walking but without the impact).

Swinging Motion

One thing the elliptical will not allow you to do but most air walkers will, is distribute or swing your bodyweight forward or backward. This is one way to increase the intensity of your workout on the air trainers and increase core muscle activation.

Some air walkers will also let you swing your legs outward, rather than just back and forth. This can provide you with an additional glute and hip workout you won’t find on an elliptical. Some striders will even give you a full 360 degree range of motion so you can move your feet in any direction you wish.

Portability & Storage

When it comes to portability and storage options, most air walker machines have the elliptical machine beat hands down.

Though only a few ellipticals are foldable, most are much heavier and larger in size. The air striders on the other hand are much lighter, smaller in size, and can be easily collapsed to a size that will fit in a corner, a closet, or behind and under furniture.

Benefits of Using an Air Walker Trainer

Cardiovascular Health

One of the biggest health benefits of using an air walker is that they offer you an effective cardiovascular workout without leaving your home.

A strong heart and cardiovascular system are proven to reduce heart disease and type 2 diabetes, a boost to your immune system, better blood circulation, increases endurance, helps reduce high blood pressure, and more.

Air Walkers Are Low-Impact

Probably the most important feature of air walkers is that they are low to zero impact cardio machines. With that said, the air walker machine can be seen as one for the few low-impact machines to offer a close to zero stress on your joints and musculoskeletal system.

Weight Loss

As a cardio machine, the air walker can burn a good amount of calories based on the length and intensity of your workout routine.

Air walkers have created quite the following and with it many exercise routines led by fitness instructors across the country. So finding an exercise routine online to fit your specific requirements should be an easy task.

Air Walkers are Foldable & Save Space

Another added benefit is how conveniently these walker machines will fold up. If you live in an apartment or are just low on space, foldable air walkers are lightweight and easily stored away after use. Simply collapse them together and store them behind furniture or in a closet when you’re done.

Summing Things Up

Air walker exercise machines are very unique zero impact exercise machines similar to elliptical machines but should not be mistaken for an elliptical machine.

Some of the best foldable air walker machines in this review will offer 360-degree leg motion and dual-action arm exercise handles. These special features will give you a full-body workout and offer far more exercise variations than any other elliptical machine.

Air walkers may appear somewhat awkward at first glance, but after watching some of the demos in the review you will better understand the functionality and see just how effective and fun they can be as both cardio machines and full-body resistance trainers.
