Collapsible foam rollers, unlike your traditional foam rollers, can be folded from 5” in height to a mere 2” in only a matter of seconds. Since they are much more compact than your traditional rollers, they are also more portable and will conveniently fit into just about any gym bag to use anywhere, anytime.
Therefore, when it comes to portability and storage the collapsible foam roller is second to none.
While doing my research I quickly discovered there are only very few of these foam rollers available on the market today. Surprisingly I found only 3 companies that have produced these rollers in the last few years.
Two of these companies sell their products online and are included in this comparison guide. The third company, which at one time seemed to have their product ready for the public, is not currently available for reasons I will explain later.
With that said, let’s compare the three collapsible foam rollers I have found and list the key features and what makes each roller so unique in both design and functionality.

Our first 2 rollers to be compared are the Morph Alpha and the Morph Bravo, both made by Brazyn. Followed by the Restore by Gaiam which offers a different design and method of collapsing but is also very effective and easy to pack.

#2 Morph Bravo by Brazyn
The second of its kind, the Morph Bravo, is made from the same design but with a smooth surface texture and with low-density foam that is more gentle suitable for your average everyday user or fitness enthusiast. For overall health and wellbeing, this is probably the way to go.
Other than the foam texture and density, most of the features are the same as the Morph Alpha other than the – 0.1 lb weight difference. I’m sure that is due to the different texture.
What is the Morph Bravo best used for?
Compared to the Morph Alpha, the Bravo collapsible foam rollers are designed with a low-density foam and a multi-level smooth surface making it more practical for kneading muscles.
The Bravo is more suited for first-time users wanting a deep tissue massage to loosen up fascia and for kneading out trigger-points. The Bravo can also be used to help isolate knots but does so in a less aggressive manner.

Best collapsible foam rollers for the price!
The Restore collapsible foam rollers by Gaiam is another great space saver and convenient way to take your foam rolling on the go anywhere and anytime.
Much simpler in design than the previous rollers, the Restore is made of ABS Plastic with a textured non-slip surface to stimulate blood flow, roll away muscle tightness or loosen knots at home, at the gym, or on the go.
The hollow core makes this roller lightweight and easy to transport on the go. And when the roller is collapsed, fitting it into a carry bag is a snap.
Simply glide the two halves in opposite directions to separate the roller into two pieces for easy transport or storage. When you are ready for your rolling exercises, you can connect the two pieces by simply sliding them back together until they lock back into position.

Where are the Neofit Collapsible Foam Rollers?
It is unfortunate that the Neofit roller did not make our list. It appears that the Neofit was once on the Kickstarter campaign back in 2017 and did, in fact, hit the market for a short while, but was then taken back off the market.
Due to setbacks and issues with the functionality and quality of the Neofit Roller, the hard and difficult decision was made to discontinue the project.
The following is a short clip of what the Neofit Roller is all about.
Unlike the Brazyn Morph that folds flat, or the Gaiam Restore that separates into 2 pieces, the Neofit Roller while retaining its rounded shape collapses together. Similar to an accordion, the collapsible foam roller will shrink from it 12” long to a compact 4” in a matter of seconds.
The Neofit was also capable of supporting a user body weight of up to 350 lbs and only weighed 1.8 lbs.
Whether the Neofit Roller will ever come to life is uncertain at this time, but if it does I will certainly add it here.
Final Thoughts
As you’ve learned, collapsible foam rollers are ideal for travel and storing in a handbag or gym bag. These rollers look and feel like the real deal, but with a huge advantage. Namely how quick and easy they can be folded together to use anywhere on the go.
With that said, these collapsible rollers can roll out knots, knead muscles, and break up fascia just the same as your traditional foam roller.
There may not be a large selection of these rollers on the market today, but I believe the choices you have available in this review are quite good.
